Our family of 4, which included two teenage boys, stayed in Vida Mejor for an April holiday. We chose Vida Mejor based on internet searches for rental villas and the rave reviews of previous visitors. The reviews were accurate. The house is lovely, roomy and well appointed with modern furnishings and electronics such as flat screen TV and computer with HS internet access( very important to some members of our group). The landscaping was wonderful, lots of tropical plants and flowers which the gardener in the family enjoyed immensely. We took advantage of the option to rent a car with the villa, which was a deal compared to renting a car separately. We used the villa as our base for exploring the island. Carlton greets you when you arrive and helps you become familiar with the villa and all its amenities, and answers any questions you may have about anything. The villa is located in a quiet residential neighborhood a short walking distance from the main roa d, where there are numerous shops, restaurants and of course, the beach. We cooked in several nights. I bought interesting and unfamiliar fruits and vegetables at the nearby grocery store and prepared them using recipes I found on the internet. The family had a great time sampling them.
We have been to over 17 different Caribbean islands in our travels and Barbados is by far one of the best for pleasant people, very good infrastructure (roads, electricity and public transportation) as well as things to do and see. We went sailing, swam with gigantic sea turtles, toured caves, swam at calm picturesque beaches on the west side of the island, and body surfed in the waves of the equally picturesque beaches on the east side, ate a lot of fresh fish, watched monkeys jumping through the trees, drank a lot of locally brewed adult beverages, and relaxed around our private pool. We hated to leave, and Barbados is on our short list of islands for a return visit. We heartily recommend the island and Vida Mejor to others.

Hello Carlton,
I finally got around to writing a review for our trip. Well I have to say we had a wonderful time at the Villa. Having our own private pool made a huge difference for us on this vacation. As well as all the other great amenities Carlton supplies you with all you need to bring is your suit ! The Villa was fantastic, private, quiet, we felt very secure do to Carlton's super security features. Carlton was always available for anything we needed and accommodated us whenever asked. We had a family of 6 with us 4 adults and 2 children and never felt cramped. It felt just like home . Very relaxing and great people. Tell Mary the kids say hello ! Thanks again Carlton for the great vacation. I loved chatting with you daily about all sorts of things. You made our vacation very comfortable. We hope to visit again.

we stayed for two weeks at the west villa; the villa was excellent, all mod cons including wi fi, beds very comfortable, pool was great, nice and isolated but a 5 min to the beach. great location - a few minutes walk to the Holetown - all the shops and restaurants you need. Recommend surfside bar, just grillin for casual food. Carlton was very helpful would highly recommend. we will return!

Carlton, thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. Your villa was excellent. We could not have asked for anything better. We will definately be back. I have done nothing but talk about your villa and Barbados since we got back! Hopefully you will get a bit of business from this, as we discussed! The kids loved the place, particularily the pool, where my daughter took her first swimming strokes unaided. By the end of the holiday, she was doing lengths at a time! I will email you the photos we got of the green monkeys in the garden.
Missing the place already, back to work in Rainy Scotland. Keep in touch and we will speak soon.

Carlton,
First of all our holiday in Barbados at Vida Mejor was Perfect! The Best Ever! We have been travelling south for 23 years and this Tops them all! Your Villas are emmaculate, clean, spacious, well located -just far enough from the beach to make you walk three minutes per day. The ammenties near by speak for themselves - the grocery store, gas station, bank, post office, and fabluous restaurants, shops etc. We have already booked in for two weeks next year and we are counting the days already.
